Electronic Receipts

Whether you are running a small business or doing projects around the house, chances are you have purchased items from The Home Depot. One thing they have recently added to their point of sale is the option to receive a electronic receipt.
The functionality is pretty cool. The first time you go into the store it will ask you for your email address. After that, assuming you use the same debit or credit card it will ask you if you would like to receive it at the same email address. Tap “yes” and a few seconds later the receipt will show up in your email.
I find it really handy for returns as well. Keep a folder in dropbox titled “the home depot” and save the pdf attachment there. No more pesky lost receipts and a nice central database for all your purchases.
